Hovering

Hovering (stationary flying) is the best solution when intervening in rescue missions and fast recovery is necessary and it is impossible to land. The main rotor can in fact turn in proximity of land and constitute therefore a danger especially to staff intervening in the rescue. Therefore we use the winch to hoist the casualty for a short distance and guarantee that the main rotor is not near an obstacle.
